Ingredients

  • Idli batter
  • ½ kg Chopped meat
  • 5 Garlic cloves
  • 6 Green chili
  • Coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • ½ whole Coconut
  • ½ inch Ginger
  • 2 Big onion
  • 1 small bunch Mint

Instructions

  1. The day before, grind and prepare the idli batter. Clean ½ kg of the chopped meat. Heat 3 teaspoons of good sesame oil in a pan, and once hot, add the ginger, garlic, and meat, and saute. Once sauteed, pour in the required amount of water and cook the meat thoroughly. Remove from heat once cooked. Finely chop the big onion, green chilies, mint, and coriander leaves. Heat 3 teaspoons of good oil in a pan, and once hot, add the chopped items and saute, then mix in the cooked meat. Add the required salt and turmeric powder, and stir well. Add the garam masala and remove from heat. Grate ½ measure of coconut. In the idli plates, pour a little idli batter, place a little of the meat mixture on top, then pour more batter over it, and steam the idlis. Once cooked, remove and take out the idlis. Heat good sesame oil in a pan, and once hot, add mustard seeds, the grated coconut, curry leaves, coriander leaves, and mint, and remove from heat. Sprinkle this tempered mixture over the cooked idlis and serve.
