Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg Meaty fish (high-flesh fish)
  • 1/4 kg Big onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 Egg
  • Bread crumbs (as needed)
  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 Teaspoon Chili powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Pepper powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 Coriander leaves (small bunch)
  • 6 Green chili
  • Oil (for frying)
  • as needed Salt

Instructions

  1. Add turmeric powder to the fish and cook it; then remove the bones and skin and mash into fine pieces. Mix in chili powder and salt well. Heat a little oil in a pan, add ginger-garlic paste and sauté, then add the onion and green chili and sauté, and remove from heat. Mix this into the fish mixture, pour in the lemon juice, mix, and shape into long oval croquettes. Then beat an egg in a small bowl, add salt and pepper powder, and mix well. Dip the croquettes in this egg mixture, then roll them in bread crumbs, and deep-fry in oil until golden brown.
