Ingredients

  • 1 Cauliflower (large)
  • 3 Tablespoons Corn flour (heaped)
  • as needed Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Ajinomoto (MSG)
  • Oil (as needed)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon White pepper powder
  • 1 Ginger (small piece, to grind)
  • 4 cloves Garlic (to grind)
  • 7 Green chili (to grind)

Instructions

  1. Break the cauliflower into small florets. Add salt to boiling water, drop in the washed florets, and cover for two minutes.
  2. Drain thoroughly and spread on a cloth to blot up the remaining water.
  3. Mix the ground paste with salt, white pepper powder, and the sauces, coat the cauliflower florets well with this, and let marinate for 1/2 hour.
  4. Just before frying, dust with corn flour and deep-fry in hot oil. Serve hot.
  5. Alternative method: this can also be made with a mix of other vegetables -- carrot, potato, capsicum, and cabbage all work well.
