Ingredients

  • 500 Grams Samba wheat rava (cracked wheat)
  • 3 Tablespoons Ghee
  • 5 Green chilies
  • 1 Tablespoon Mustard seeds
  • as needed Salt
  • 2 Tablespoons Oil
  • 1 Big onion
  • 3 tumblers Coconut milk
  • a small amount Curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Place a pan on the stove, pour in 2 tablespoons of oil, and roast the samba wheat rava. Extract 3 tumblers of coconut milk from one coconut and keep aside. In the pan, pour oil, add mustard seeds, and temper. Add sautéed onion and green chilies, then pour in the coconut milk, add salt, and bring to a boil. Once it boils, add the roasted wheat rava and stir well with a ladle. Then add the ghee and mix well — the wheat rava pongal is ready.
