Ingredients

  • ¼ kg Mutton (cut into pieces)
  • 3 teaspoons Cumin seeds
  • 9 Dried red chilli (the source's method section lists this same ingredient as 7 instead)
  • a small amount Turmeric powder
  • 20 Chopped onion
  • 4 ladles Oil
  • as needed Salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the mutton into pieces. Grind the dried red chilli and cumin seeds together well.
  2. Heat 4 ladles of oil in a vessel, add the chopped onion and mutton, and saute. Mix the required salt and turmeric powder into the ground masala and add it to the mutton.
  3. Pour in water as needed and cook the mutton on low heat. Once the mutton is cooked and the water has dried up and it turns reddish, remove from heat.
