Ingredients

  • 1/4 kg Carrot
  • 2 Onion
  • 2 Teaspoons Ginger-green chili paste
  • 2 Tomato
  • 2 Tablespoons Chopped mint, coriander, and curry leaves
  • as needed Salt
  • Butter (as needed)
  • 10 slices Bread

Instructions

  1. Steam a carrot in a pressure cooker and grate it.
  2. Finely chop the onion and tomato.
  3. Heat a little oil in a pan, temper a little mustard, then add the ginger-chili paste.
  4. Once sauteed for a minute, add the onion and saute until reddish.
  5. Once wilted, add the tomato and saute until it turns to a paste.
  6. Once the moisture dries up, add the grated carrot, salt, chopped coriander, curry leaves, and mint, and saute well.
  7. Once cooled, place this masala between buttered bread slices, close it up, press and cut like a sandwich, and serve with tomato sauce.
  8. Note: once the sauteed masala is ready, it can also be ground into a chutney-like paste and spread in the middle of the bread to make the sandwich.
